Know what you want to do!

• Firstly before you start looking for a job make sure you have some type of structured career path that you want to follow. By knowing what career you want to be involved in, it makes it easier to feel more relaxed and in control of what you want to do in the future.

Goals & Objectives

• Once you have an idea of what career you are interested in and want to pursue, you can go ahead and start setting goals and objectives. Set both tactical and strategic goals, that is goals that you want to achieve in a month and goals that you want to achieve in five years time. Make sure the goals are achievable and not unrealistic.

Mission & Vision

• While similar to your objectives and goals, sit down and write out a mission statement. Eventhough you are not running a business like where you see most mission statements, you are running your life and you need a clear direction in where it is heading.
