Safety Tips
Caution crossing the road as Australian's drive on the left hand side.
Pedestrian Crossings - do not assume that traffic will stop automatically. Wait until cars have stopped before stepping onto the crossing.
Swim at patroled beaches, between the flags.
Tipping
Not included in service but definitely customary in Australia. For restaurants 10% in the norm and taxis round up to the nearest dollar.
In hotels one dollar per bag is the norm
