Communications
Before you arrive in Australia, you are advised to check if your communication equipment is safe to operate in Australia. Technical differences in poer voltage or radio frequency can endanger health and safety and cause interference problems. Power voltage is 240 volts/ 50 Hz.

Health Insurance

While Australia holds reciprocal health agreements with United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, the netherlands, Italy, Malta, NZ, and Ireland these agreements do not cover all health services, and time restrictions apply in some cases, these countries are therefore advised to take out some form of health cover. Travelling To Australia
When You Arrive In Australia
The following documents are required for entry clearance:
 Passport; and
Incoming Passenger Card
These documents will be returned to you after immigration processing. You may then collect your luggage and proceed to the baggage examination area.
For travellers arriving by sea, immigration processing may be completed in biard the vessel. A Customs officer will then direct you for a further clearance.
General Visa Requirements
Anyone who is not an Australian citizen needs a valid visa/Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter and spend time in Australia.
Visas are available from Australian visa offices such as Australian Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates.
Please note:
Airlines may refuse to allow travellers to board their aircraft without valid visa/ETAs and passports;
It is recommended that intending visitors obtain a visa/ETA before purchasing airline tickets, Olympic and Paralympic tickets, or entering into any other financial commitments dependent upon entry to Australia;
Visas/ETAs are issued subject to a range of conditions; and
Tourists are not allowed to work during their visit to Australia. Penalties apply to tourist who breach this "no work" condition.
